Why Am I Here?

The search for purpose in life has puzzled people for thousands of years because we usually look in the wrong place: ourselves.  While society and self-help books disagree, you will not discover purpose by looking within yourself.  Only God, the Creator of life, can reveal you purpose here on earth.  "Everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible,... everything was started in Him, and finds its purpose in Him." (Colossians 1:16 The Message)

To know God's purpose for your life means you need to know God.  God desires to have a relationship with you and show you your purpose in life, but sin has separated man from God.  in order to restore mans relationship with God he sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for you and pay the penalty for your sin.  Because the penalty for sin has been paid, you are able to have a relationship with God requires three specific steps for you to receive it.

1. Repentance- When we realize that we have all done wrong, need forgivness and we decide to change: that is what repentance is all about.

2. Baptism- Total emersion. Baptism or "being baptized" simple means to be emersed in water as a symbol of leaving ones' past behind.

3. Receiving -Once you have completed these steps, the last and most important thing to do is just simply believe. "But believe what?" One may ask. The answer is clear: believe that God has forgiven you and washed your past away.
