B.J. and Shirley Robison came to the Bay Area 35 years ago to become the pastors of  Calvary Christian Center. During the years that followed, they saw the congregation at Calvary prosper and grow.

The thriving church that you see today is the product of Pastor Robison’s deep commitment to discipleship. Both he and Shirley believe that just to see people come to the Lord in conversion is not the fulfillment of their calling as shepherds of God’s people — rather, they want to see every convert become a full-fledged disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 For them, that portion of the Great Commission that says, “...teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you...” (Matthew 28:20) is their marching orders!

 Helping others understand and live by the principles taught by Jesus — that is truly what the 33 years of the Robisons’ ministry in El Sobrante has been all about.
